Johnna Walker
Panther Pride Director
Ms. Johnna Walker graduated from Stephen F Austin State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science and Dance. She was an Apache Belle from 1993-94 and served as the freshman representative. Ms. Walker has taught dance for more than 20 years. As a former Panther Pride member and Lieutenant from 1991-93, she is very honored and proud to serve as the Panther Pride Director for the last 15 years. She is the proud mother to Katelynn Walker, who was a member of the prestigious LSU Golden Girls and Tiger Girls Dance Team. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her supportive and loving family.
Caron Cook
Panther Pride & JV Drill Assistant Director
This is Mrs. Caron Cook's eighth year as Assistant Director. Mrs. Cook is married to Jeff, who coaches at Lufkin High School, and they have two children, Presley and Paxton. After graduating from Texas A&M University with a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology, Mrs. Cook taught at Hudson High School for two years, where she began the Hudson Highlight Dance Team. She also taught dance and coached cheerleaders at Lufkin Middle School for nine years. As a former Panther Pride member and Lieutenant from 1994-96, Mrs. Cook is thrilled to be giving back to the organization that has given her so much!
Debbie Hemphill
JV Drill Director
The Junior Varsity Drill has been under the direction of Mrs. Debbie Hemphill for the past 29 years. Mrs. Hemphill is the wife of Joey Hemphill, the mother of Erice and Julie, and proud grandmother to Hallie and Finn. Mrs. Hemphill has many years of dance experience in teaching aerobics and dance training. She is proud to have been a member of the 1979-80 Panther Pride.
